Selekta Download for Mac

The database client that never lets you forget which database you are in.

Navigator, SQL editor and result grid, the way you already work, with native drivers for PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite and SQL Server. Production is labelled on every screen, and every edit shows its SQL before it runs.

v0.1.0 · macOS 11 or later · signed and notarized

01 · TITLE BLOCK

Production can't hide.

The active connection, database, role and environment sit in a title block at the bottom of every tab, like the corner of an engineering drawing. On production, a DELETE without WHERE, a TRUNCATE or a DROP waits until you type the connection name. That confirm cannot be switched off.

02 · REVISIONS

Every edit is a revision until you apply it.

Change cells in the grid and they are marked in amber, nothing more. Apply shows the exact UPDATE, INSERT and DELETE statements first, every time, in every environment. Manual commit mode keeps a transaction open until you commit or roll back.

03 · READING

Plans, maps and exports without a plugin.

Explain draws the query plan as a tree and points at the slowest step. Geometry columns open on an OpenStreetMap layer. Results export to CSV, JSON, SQL or Excel, CSV files import with a preview, and PostgreSQL and MySQL backups run through pg_dump and mysqldump.
